Nestldown Wedding Photographer | Elegant Redwoods Wedding for Alexandra & Chandler

Some wedding days just feel extra special from the very beginning, and Alexandra and Chandler’s Nestldown wedding was definitely one of those. Set in the redwoods on a beautiful September day, their celebration was warm, elegant, and full of moments centered around the people they love most.

Alexandra spent the morning getting ready at Chandler’s parents’ home with her closest friends, and the atmosphere was so sweet and calm. There was laughter, happy tears, and such a sense of anticipation as she stepped into her classic wedding gown. She looked absolutely stunning, and truly, she had the biggest, brightest smile all day long.

A sweet first look with Dad to start the day…

Their wedding party brought such a refined, romantic feel to the day. The bridesmaids wore beautiful soft pink satin dresses, while Chandler and his groomsmen kept things timeless in classic black and white. Everything felt elegant, soft, and perfectly suited to the magic of Nestldown.

Chandler has a real love for photography, and from the start he shared how important it was to capture the real, candid moments: the hugs, the in-between glances, and the natural joy of being surrounded by family. It was so clear how deeply he loves and supports Alexandra, and documenting the two of them together felt incredibly meaningful.

Nestldown truly is magical with its towering redwoods and whimsical storybook touches throughout the property.

One of the most joyful moments of the day was their grand arrival to cocktail hour, riding in on the Nestldown train while their friend rang a giant bell to announce their entrance. Guests cheered, laughed, and gathered close. It was such a fun, unforgettable moment.

Throughout the entire day, Alexandra and Chandler were so intentional about being present with their people. Instead of a sweetheart table, they chose to sit at a family table during dinner so they could spend that time right alongside those closest to them. They added playful personal touches, including a cozy coffee bar during dinner, and an ice cream and cookie bar later in the night that everyone loved!

Their choreographed first dance was another highlight of the night. Alexandra changed into the cutest short reception dress! And thanks to her years of dance experience, it may have been the fastest quick change we’ve ever seen. From the first dance on, the dance floor was packed with family and friends, and the energy never slowed down!

The evening ended with a private last dance, and the sweetest bubble grand exit, before Alexandra and Chandler were whisked away in a vintage English taxi! The perfect ending to a day that already felt straight out of a fairytale.
